I picked up this fabric in Jaipur last weekend.

Sometimes I like to jet off to foreign places to select new fabrics for my office or dining room.  Last weekend I traveled to India to celebrate their rich use of color and patterns.  Their style is remeniscent of Indonesian batik, but with different influences (and influenzas) and use of native dyes.  I've turned this particular piece into a throw for my swank little bungalow in Madrid where I always have an exhausting lay-over.   It's out of the way, but I just have to see mi amante Carlos Alberto Tito Santiago.  He loves my eyes, which are hazel with small golden flecks that jet out like shooting stars from my crescent-like pupils.

Mondrian Dieu!

This delicate silk scarf carries with it a dreamlike quality. It’s as though Piet Mondrian and Joan Miro got together and threw a big party. It is simply surreal. I like to wear it in a bright bow around my neck, or curl up in it and enjoy the warmth of the silk as I fain sleep and enjoy the solitude of my Highland Park condominium. When I wear this on the street I hear people saying, “Ooh, la la, look at that amazing scarf! Look what it does to her eyes.” It also detracts from other baggage, creating a slimming effect that is both provocative and alluring. I have no idea where you’d buy this. I found it in mum’s closet.
